How long does Maaco take to paint a whole car? ›

We offer free estimates any time during business hours, with or without an appointment. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PAINT MY CAR? Vehicle paint jobs usually take 3-5 days, but additional services selected, prep work that is needed and current workload at the location play a part in the turnaround time.

MAACO locations are almost all independently owned. Most are not beholden to use the paint MAACO offers although some will only use that stuff. I am guessing that they would use your paint IF you also provide the reducer, catalyst, and any other additives but don't expect it to reduce your price.

Basic paint job: Typically costs between $500 and $1,000. This includes a single-stage synthetic enamel paint and minimal prep work. It offers a budget-friendly option but may have a shorter lifespan with a limited warranty and lower durability. Midtier paint job: Ranges from $1,000 to $5,000.

Basic: The most inexpensive paint job involves as few coats as possible, using synthetic enamel paint. For the basic job, the painters are unlikely to paint areas that are not normally visible, such as the inside of the hood. Basic costs range from $300 to $1,000.

Most paints need at least 24 hours to cure fully, although waiting two weeks is a good benchmark for any paint type since this allows plenty of time for it to settle. For paint touch-ups, customers should hand wash the car exterior for the first month following completion of the work.
